What is the tankless water heater?

The venting materials used in noncondensing tankless water heaters are expensive as they need to be non-corrosive and heat tolerant. In these type of tankless water heaters, efficiency is around 83% as the heat energy contained in the hot drained gases will not be used to heat the water. These will be wasted by draining them. The energy used to heat the water is inversely proportional to the hotness of the drained gases. That’s why the efficiency is low.

  • Provide enough gas pressure to your tankless water heater.
  • Make sure that the unit is properly grounded to avoid problems. The fuses on the control unit should be checked.
  • Wiring harness and igniter should be checked for the write operation and verify that the electrode produces a flame. Electrical short of the component needs to be checked.
  • The gas valve should be checked if it can be opened or not.
  • Check the burner’s placement in the combustion chamber.
  • Examine if there is any moisture or rubbish on the burner that can produce the gas burning problem. The flow sensor’s activity should be checked.
  • The burner will not ignite if the flow is lower. It is one of the common problems which can be fixed easily.
